FMINDK49 is a cold air induction system for the Alfa Giulia/Stelvio 2.0TB. With the huge success of the Quadrifoglio range of Alfa Romeo's many performance focused products have been produced for this segment, however we have noticed that the 2.0TB platform has been neglected when it comes to performance upgrades. The 2.0TB is already a strong performing engine, but with the right modifications it can produce even more power. Here at Forge we have developed a range of performance products to achieve this and the jewel in our crown is our FMINDK49 induction kit.

When the FMINDK49 is installed in the car, the first thing you will notice is a change in the acoustics of the engine sound. There is now a nice bark at low revs and a constant induction roar all the way up to the red line. The sound is not too intrusive and when driven conservatively it is all very civilized and refined.

With our extensive expertise and experience in air induction filtration systems, the 2.0TB powerplant required an extensive amount of testing time to ensure that we ultimately had a product that offered real improvements over the stock air box. We increased the surface area of ​​the filter by 38% by utilizing our Forge Ramair high flow, pleated, synthetic nanofiber filter, or Pipercross foam filters, which are manufactured for optimal dimensions and to fit the available space for superior flow and filtration with improved breathing.

The CAD design, laser cut, and precision folded heat shield is designed to form a barrier between the air intake duct and the radiant heat from the engine. It also helps direct cold air to the air filter, as the design incorporates the original cold air ducts which help maintain low intake temperatures, in turn, producing more power. We expect an increase of 6-7 hp and 15-18 Nm of torque.

Aesthetically the FMINDK49 looks very purposeful in the engine bay and finished in our textured black powder coat finish, all in all this is a superior quality product with an OEM look and feel.

The temperature and volume of air forced into your vehicles engine by the turbocharger will have a greater effect on performance when the air is cool as it provides the engine with more oxygen (denser air) which improves combustion in each cylinder. Additionally, regulating and lowering the air temperature can also increase the reliability of an engine by keeping the AFR's (Air Fuel Ratios) in each cylinder at a safe level; this in turn can increase the power output of an engine due to the cooler air. This will also create a bigger bang in the cylinder when the correct amount of fuel is added, which can result in increased horsepower and torque.
