Oval carbon housing, ensures good air quality, which is essential for turbo engines.
The air filter in the airbox is made of a multi-layer pre-oiled filter material that provides high filtration efficiency against a limited pressure drop in the air. The function of the air filter is to protect the engine against all elements (debris, sand, dust, etc...) in the air flow to the engine during the intake phase. The BMC air filter has a very low drop (i.e. the pressure difference between the airflow on the engine side and that on the air intake side) to allow maximum airflow.
The BMC air filter can be regenerated and reused. Once the saturation level has been reached, it is possible to regenerate the filter by washing and re-oiling it using the relevant regeneration kit.
